Following a missionary¶
You don't need an app, an account, or a password to follow a missionary on Mission Broadcast. Once you subscribe, every letter arrives in your email — with photos and the latest news from the field.
This section is written for you, the reader. If a family member set up the site, you can ask them anything here too.
Subscribe¶
- Open the missionary's site — the family will have sent you the link.
It's either their own web address like
elder-smith.com, or a page onmissionbroadcast.com(it looks likemissionbroadcast.com/m/their-code). - In the Stay Connected box, type your first name (optional) and your email address.
- Select Subscribe.
You'll get a short welcome email confirming you're on the list. After that, every new letter comes straight to your inbox. It's free, and you can stop anytime.
Add the sender to your contacts
To make sure letters don't land in spam, add the missionary's "from" address to your email contacts after the welcome email arrives.
Read every letter in your inbox¶
When the missionary sends a new letter, it arrives as a nicely formatted email — photos included. There's nothing to click or sign into. Just open it like any other email.
Each letter also includes:
- A "Catch up" strip linking the most recent letters, in case you missed one.
- Footer links to read the full archive, pause emails, or unsubscribe.
Follow the mission map¶
The missionary's site has a live mission map that fills in as they move through areas and transfers. Open the site anytime and tap a pin to see where the mission has taken them — no sign-in needed. It's a lovely way to follow the journey between letters.
Read the archive¶
Want to re-read an old letter, or catch up on everything at once? Every site has a Letter Archive with all the letters and photos in one place.
Getting too many emails, or want to stop?¶
You can pause emails for a while (and they'll start again on their own), or unsubscribe completely. Nothing is permanent except the choices you make.
