Plans & pricing¶
Mission Broadcast's pricing is shaped like the decision you're actually making: try it month-to-month or commit for the whole mission.
Short version
- Monthly — $7/month. First month free, cancel any time.
- Full-Mission Standard. $45 / $75 / $105 / $135 once, for 6 / 12 / 18 / 24 months of service (plus a 2-month wrap-up included).
- Full-Mission Pro. $115 / $155 / $195 / $235 once. Bundles whitelabel branding, full-resolution photos, managed domain, and the PDF Letter Book at homecoming. (The printed hardcover book is $125 à la carte for any tier.)
- 60-day money-back guarantee on every plan.

The Full-Mission ladder is built around the standard mission lengths — Sister missionaries = 18 months, Elder missionaries = 24 months. Senior couples typically pick the 6 / 12 / 18 option that matches their call.
Monthly — $7/month¶
A recurring subscription. The first month is free, then $7/mo charged to the card on file, cancel any time.
What's included:
- Public archive at
missionbroadcast.com/m/<your-slug>. You can't bring your own custom domain on Monthly, but you can add the paid Managed Custom Domain upgrade if you want your own. - Unlimited subscribers, unlimited broadcasts.
- Photos and attachments in letters.
- Auto-relay (
letters@<your-domain>sends straight to subscribers). - The 60-day money-back guarantee.
When Monthly is the right pick:
- You want to try the platform before committing for the whole mission.
- The missionary's call is short or its length isn't locked in yet.
- You'd rather not pay a big number up front.
You can switch to Full-Mission or Pro at any point. If the missionary is already partway through the mission, the upfront plan is prorated to the months remaining — you don't pay for time that's already passed.
Full-Mission Standard¶
A single upfront payment that covers the whole mission plus a 2-month wrap-up window (so end-of-mission letters and the homecoming broadcast still land before the term expires).

Full-Mission Standard also unlocks a custom domain
— bring your own (you own and register it; we guide the DNS setup) so the
public archive lives at https://<your-domain>. This isn't part of
Monthly.
When Full-Mission Standard is the right pick:
- You know how long the mission is (most calls).
- You'd rather not deal with monthly renewals or card-expiry surprises in the middle of the mission.
- You'd like the slightly lower effective rate that comes with prepaying.
Every Full-Mission Standard plan carries the same 60-day money-back guarantee — if it isn't working out, the refund covers the whole upfront price (see "Money-back guarantee" below).
Full-Mission Pro¶
Everything in Full-Mission Standard, plus the premium add-ons bundled at a meaningful discount:

Pro bundles:
- Whitelabel branding — hides the "Sent via Mission Broadcast" footer in outbound emails and on the public archive.
- Photo Pro — full-resolution photos and 5 GB of storage (up from the standard 800px / 500 MB caps).
- Managed Custom Domain — we register your domain, do the DNS setup, and keep registrar renewals paid for the duration. (Also sold as a paid add-on on any plan — $55 per 3 years — so Monthly and Full-Mission customers can buy it too. On Full-Mission Standard you can instead bring your own, registering the domain yourself with our guided DNS setup.)
- PDF Letter Book at homecoming — every letter, every photo, bound into a printable PDF keepsake.
We'll ask which web address you'd like
Because Pro includes a managed custom domain, when you click to buy a
Pro plan we'll ask what web address you'd like — something like
elderpehrsonmission.com. You'll see a couple of examples to spark
ideas, and you can type your own. As you type (or when you select
Check availability), we do a quick look-up and tell you whether
that address looks available or is already taken — and if it's
taken, we'll suggest a few similar names that may be free. It's just a
helpful hint: the check is advisory, so even if the look-up can't be
reached, you can still continue. Not sure yet? Choose "I'll decide
later" and finish your purchase — you can tell us the address any
time afterward. We always confirm it's available before we register it.
The Pro price is a flat ~25% off the à la carte sum at every duration. The printed hardcover Letter Book is available à la carte at $125 for any tier (Monthly, Full-Mission, or Pro) once the v2 print pipeline ships — it is not included in the Pro bundle.
Add-ons à la carte¶
You can buy individual upgrades from the Billing page without moving up to Pro. The version you see is matched to your plan:

On a Full-Mission or Pro plan, Photo Pro is a one-time purchase sized to your mission — one payment, nothing to renew, and it ends when your paid term does. (Monthly customers keep the subscription version.) The Billing page shows the right one automatically; you won't be offered the wrong one for your plan.
Whitelabel branding is part of Pro
Whitelabel branding (hiding the "Sent via Mission Broadcast" footer) isn't sold on its own — it comes with the Full-Mission Pro plan. If you want to hide our branding, pick Pro.
60-day money-back guarantee¶
Every plan is covered. If Mission Broadcast isn't working out within 60 days of your first purchase, email support@missionbroadcast.com and we'll refund the subscription fee in full — no support-ticket gymnastics, no "are you sure?" detours. Replying to any billing receipt reaches the same inbox.
Refunds typically post back to your card within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Auto-pause (Monthly)¶
If the missionary stops emailing — emergency, transfer, illness — a Monthly subscription automatically pauses so you're not paying for time you aren't using: if no broadcast goes out for about 60 days we email a heads-up, and at around 90 days with no letters Stripe billing pauses — you're not charged again until letters resume. You keep your archive and your subscribers throughout.
Upfront plans (Full-Mission and Pro) are paid in full at signup, so there's no recurring charge to pause. If a missionary's circumstances change mid-mission, reach out and we'll work it out with you.
Family discount¶
Running more than one missionary on the same account?
Each additional missionary gets 15% off their plan, applied automatically at checkout — you don't need to ask. The discount kicks in once an earlier missionary on your account has 3 paid months behind them.
Eligibility:
- All missionaries are on the same Mission Broadcast account.
- The discount applies to each per-missionary plan price, not the account total.
What happens after the mission ends¶
When your paid term ends you get a a 30-day export window after the paid term ends — download every letter and photo, generate the final PDF Letter Book, do whatever feels right. After that, the archive is removed.
Archive Keepalive — a small annual renewal that keeps the archive readable at the same URL after the mission — is coming soon. The planned pricing:
- $20 / year if you brought your own domain (or are using the
default
missionbroadcast.com/m/<slug>address). - $40 / year if we're managing the domain for you.
Until it's available, export your archive (letters, photos, and the final PDF Letter Book) during the export window above.
Most families on managed hosting take this moment to bring the domain into their own name — we'll walk you through the transfer, and your archive renewal drops to the $20 rate afterward.
Lapse handling (Monthly only)¶
If a Monthly payment fails — card expired, declined, whatever — we don't immediately cut off your subscribers' access. The lapse ladder is intentionally patient, and you get an email at each step:
- Grace period (first ~2 weeks). The card is retried automatically and we email all account managers. Nothing is paused — broadcasts still send and subscribers still receive.
- Read-only (after ~2 weeks). Broadcasts pause. Letters you send queue up and release automatically once billing is fixed. Your subscriber list is preserved.
- Archive frozen (after ~6 weeks). The public archive shows a "temporarily unavailable" page until billing is resolved. Nothing is deleted — letters and subscribers are still safe.
- Final warning (after ~14 weeks). A last email before deletion. About two weeks later, if billing still isn't resolved, the archive enters the a 30-day export window after the paid term ends and is then removed.
Recover at any point by updating billing in the Manage billing portal — broadcasts resume and queued letters release automatically.
Upfront tiers (Full-Mission and Pro) don't lapse — they're paid in full at signup.
How to upgrade, switch, or cancel¶
Open the Billing page in the account sidebar:
- Try Monthly first. First month free, cancel any time.
- Switch Monthly → Full-Mission or Pro. One Stripe checkout. If the missionary is partway through, the upfront price is prorated to the months remaining.
- Family discount. Applied automatically — each additional missionary on your account gets 15% off once an earlier one has 3 paid months. Nothing to request.
- Cancel anything. Select Manage billing to open Stripe's portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current period — never mid-cycle.
