Pausing and leaving¶
You're always in control of the emails you get. You can take a break, stop completely, or remove your information entirely.
Pause emails for a while¶
If you're getting too many emails right now — or you're traveling — you can pause instead of unsubscribing.
- Open any letter you've received.
- Select the Pause emails link in the footer.
- On the page that opens, choose Pause for 30 days or Pause for 90 days.
While paused, you won't get new letters. When the time is up, emails start again automatically — you don't have to do anything, and you don't have to resubscribe. You can also Resume now from that same page anytime.
Pause is the gentle option
Pausing keeps you on the list and brings you back on its own. It's the right choice if you still want the letters, just not at the moment.
Unsubscribe completely¶
To stop all emails for good:
- Select Unsubscribe in the footer of any letter (some email apps also show an Unsubscribe button at the very top of the message), or
- Open the Pause emails page and choose Unsubscribe completely.
Unsubscribing takes effect right away. If you ever change your mind, you can
subscribe again from the missionary's site, or email
subscribe@<the-mission-domain>.
Remove my information ("Forget me")¶
If you want Mission Broadcast to delete your personal data — not just stop the emails — you can ask us to forget you.
- Go to https://missionbroadcast.com/forget-me.
- Enter your email address.
- We email you a confirmation link. Select it within 1 hour to confirm.
After you confirm, your email is removed from every missionary list you're on, along with the delivery and engagement records tied to it. We keep only a minimal record that you asked to be forgotten — that's what stops you from being accidentally re-added later.
Unsubscribing vs. being forgotten
Unsubscribing stops the emails but keeps a record that you opted out (so you're not accidentally re-added). Forget me removes your information. Choose whichever fits what you want.
